THE RINGER SCHOLARSHIP
The Ringer Scholarship is available to youth belonging to Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington, who are current high school seniors or have graduated high school within the last three years.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Ringer Scholarship was formed and presented to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington, by James, Robert, and Isabel Ringer. The scholarship fund of $200,000 was presented in memory of Margaret (James’ wife) and John and Hester Ringer (their parents). It was formally presented to the church December 1997.
A maximum of $12,000 will be made available for distribution each year. Up to six students are awarded the scholarship per year, with a maximum of $6,000 given to each recipient. The scholarships will be formally awarded to the selected students in the month of June. The following shall be the criteria for determining who receives the Scholarship:

2023 Scholarship Recipients: Egan Bellesfield, Alexandra Feifel, Alexis Henniger, and Colby Rehrig.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
Anyone interested in applying for the scholarship needs to be:
- An active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington.
- A current high school senior or have graduated from high school within the last three years.
- Attending a college or technical school.

Return the packet in a sealed envelope to the church office during business hours by 3:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024.
